My name is Kenzie I am a junior business marketing major at Coastal Carolina University. I am in Gamma Phi Beta at Coastal. I also run a social media page for a business here at Coastal. This Blog is about me and my lifestyle! Balancing being a full time student, having a job and being on the executive board of my sorority can be very difficult. Although through pictures it may look all fun, this blog is to highlight the good times and also give background on what the actual truth behind a picture is. Social media is a glimpse into your life of all the highlights. This shows the meaning behind those pictures and shows that there is alot more going on in peoples lives than what their instagram post is saying. Being a college aged girl it is extremely difficult not to want to show off my own highlight reel on instagram. However,, I do think that its important that people know a picture is on second in a day of 864,000 seconds. What is behind that picture might not be all smiles. With constant views of other people posting on Instagram, its easy to get carried away and feel jealous or glamorize things. Thats what this blog is for. To take away and normalize the bad and the ugly as well as the good. Being from Rhode Island I am a long way from home,, and many people in my family follow along with what i am m doing via my social medias. Even my mom when she cant get a hold of me for a little bit becuase of my crazy schedule will go look at my tik toks and instagram. While this isnt ideal its nice for my family to see a highlight reel and they can see all is okay, but thats not always accurate. This blog will give my family another way to see me from hundreds of miles away and too see a more genuine side. As well, for girls who think because someones instagram is perfect for them to know that is not reality and feel comfort in people online actually being real humans.
